We are delighted that Quirin von Rekowski has become a valuable member of our team at Chimaera GmbH! He has already started with us as a working student and will now be writing his Master's thesis with us, too.

He'll be finishing up his degree in computer science at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. Quirin is working closely with Andreas Kist from the Chair of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering (AIBE@FAU) on some truly groundbreaking advances in semi-supervised pixel annotation in surgical endoscopic videos based on DNNs as part of the Surgical AI Hub Germany. 
The main goal here is to find ways to speed up the annotation workflow while keeping the results just as good as they can be.
